Q:
When I try to install Kore on my Mac, an alert appears such as "error creating file" or "error creating folder" followed by "access denied error".
A:
An error number such as "1008:5,-5000" or "1008:9,-5000" may appear. Installation stops after the error appears.
This was caused by a problem with some of the first Kore installer DVDs. The problem lies in the installation of the Kore AU plugin. To fix this, run the Kore installer again, and choose 'Custom Install' instead of 'Easy Install.' Then UNCHECK the option to install the AU plugin. Leave all other installation options checked. The installation should now proceed without errors. After finishing the installation, use the NI Service Center to register and authorize Kore. Then use the Update Manager in the Service Center to get the latest update for Kore and install this. This will install the correct version of the AU plugin.
