Q:
Why are some of the files red and others black?
A:
Black files are files that are playing back close to their originally recorded tempo (within 10 bpm up and 5 bpm down); red files are the closest example of a given file that has been stretched to work at the selected tempo. (See manual, Chapter 3, pg.21)
