Q:
How do I set/change the recording mode on my Edirol R-09?

A:
The R-09 can record in nine different modes. WAV 24 bit recordings are the highest quality available. The MP3 modes are best for longer recordings where high quality and resolution are not critical. Use the following steps to change the recording mode:

• Press and hold the [FINDER/MENU] button.

• Use the [PLAY] and [STOP] buttons to move the cursor to "Recorder Setup," then press the [REC] button.

• Use the [PLAY] and [STOP] buttons to move the cursor to "Sample Rate."

• Use the [RIGHT CURSOR] and [LEFT CURSOR] buttons to select the sample rate (44.1 or 48 kHz).

• Use the [STOP] button to move the cursor down to "Rec Mode," then use the [LEFT CURSOR] and [RIGHT CURSOR] buttons to change the record mode (WAV-24 bit, WAV-16 bit, MP3-320 kbps, MP3-224 kbps, MP3-192 kbps, MP3-128 kbps, MP3-96 kbps, MP3-64 kbps).

• Press [FINDER/MENU] twice to get back to the Main screen.

Your recording mode should now be set.
