Q:
How do I Export to my Computer
A:
EXPORTING FROM BR TO YOUR COMPUTER
1) Put the BR into USB Backup mode by plugging in the USB cable to your BR. 2) Connect the USB cable to your computer. The BR will appear on your computer with a drive letter (ie: E: or F: ) You can close any windows that open, but you'll need to know this drive letter in Step 4. 3) Run the BR WAV Converter by double clicking it. NOTE: The BRWC is given to you in a .zip or .sit file which you will need to extract before use. 4) Using the Drive Pulldown Box in the top lefthand corner of the screen, select the drive letter associated with the BR during step 2. 5) Using the Song Pulldown Box, select the song you wish to work with. 6) At this point, you should see green squares on the grid. These green squares represent tracks with audio on them in your song. The columns (up and down) represent the tracks. The top square in each column is V-Track 1 and each row represents the other V-Tracks. In other words, the second square down in the first column is track 1-V2. 7) If you wish to export a stereo pair, you need to click the L/R button at the bottom of the column you're going to export. For example: If you bounced your song to 12V2, you would go to the bottom of columns 1 & 2 and click the L/R button. 8) Click the track or tracks you wish to export. They will turn orange. If it's a stereo track, make sure you've linked them using the L/R button. You could also click the ALL button to select all tracks. 9) Click EXPORT at the bottom left hand corner. 10) Click GO. 11) Using the dropdown tab for SAVE IN, select the destination folder. If you're unsure where to save it, select DESKTOP. 12) Type a filename of your choice into the FILENAME box, and click SAVE. 13) That's it! Now you've got a wav file you can listen to on your computer, burn to a cd, or edit with your favorite software. 14) Close the BR Wav Converter software and make sure you use Safely Remove Hardware or Eject before removing the USB connection. |
