How do I initialize the Internal Hard Drive in the VSR-880?

Use the following procedure to format the VSR-880's internal hard drive:

1. Hold SHIFT and press SYSTEM until "DriveInitialize?" is displayed. Press YES.

2. Press PARAMETER >> to display PHYSICAL FORMAT. Turn the TIME/VALUE dial to select "ON".

3. Press YES. "Init. IDE:0 OK?" is displayed. Press YES. "Init IDE:0 Sure?" is displayed. Press YES. The initialization process will begin.
