Q:
How can I route audio from the computer to the MultiMix, apply the MultiMix's EQ and effects, and then record the audio back into the computer?
A:
This is possible with the MultiMix, but will require some additional cabling.
1. Turn the HEADPHONE/CONTROL ROOM knob all the way down. 2. Press the 2 TRACK TO CONTROL ROOM BUTTON down, and leave the 2 TRACK TO MIX button up. 3. Using a pair of cables, connect the CONTROL ROOM OUT jacks to a line-level stereo channel's input jacks. Connect your speakers to the MAIN MIX OUT jacks. 4. Slowly increase the volume on the HEADPHONE/CONTROL ROOM knob until a good signal level is reached on the line-level stereo channel chosen in step 3. 5. EQ the stereo channel to taste. Dial in the preferred type and amount of the desired digital effect. 6. In your DAW software, record the MAIN mix that is coming into the stereo channel chosen in step 3. Note that you can only route two channels from the computer and back into the MultiMix in this way. No more than two channels from the computer are ever available to the MultiMix.
