How do I use MIDI Mode to control other applications from my Digidesign 003?

First, you need to have the correct firmware installed. This firmware update can be downloaded here:

www.digidesign.com
The download also includes a guide for using MIDI Mode, which explains all procedures necessary. Bear in mind that MNIDI data will travel through the 003 Port 1, and NOT the 003 Control Port. Make sure to select the proper port in whatever software or hardware you are attempting to control.
