DAE error -9006 "The Plug-in cannot be made active" when instantiating BFD or BFD Lite on a Windows XP system running Pro Tools 7.3.x.

Navigate to C:/WINDOWS/system32 and delete the following files:

FxShared.dll
com.fxpansion.fxshared.dll

After those files have been deleted, reboot the computer, launch Pro Tools, and try instantiating BFD again.

This has resolved the error in some cases.
