I've installed XPand! on my Mac and it appears in ProTools, but there's a message stating it cannot locate the Xpand!.dat file.

First, make sure XPand!.dat is located in the proper location on your Mac:
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign
If XPand!.dat is there but still doesn't work, try using the "Set Content Location" utility available as a download
