Q:
Is there a factory reset for the PC3X?
A:
Yes, there are two methods:
CAUTION: Resetting the PC3 system causes ALL parameters to be restored to default values and ALL user objects to be erased. The PC3 will ask you if you want to delete everything (meaning all RAM objects). Factory presets store in ROM will not be deleted. • Method #1 - While the PC3X is on in normal operation. a) Press MASTER b) Press the soft button below PAGE2 c) Press the soft button below RESET d) The display will ask, "Are you sure you want to delete everything?" A pair of Yes/No soft buttons will appear. Press No if you want to keep any objects you have saved. Press Yes, and everything stored in RAM will be erased. After a few seconds, the PC3 will return to the Program mode page. • Method #2 - Starting from the Bootloader. a) Hold down the EXIT button while turning the power on. Instead of booting normally, you'll see, "PC3 Boot Loader" across the top of the screen. b) Using the soft buttons below the screen, select RESET. c) Verify whether you are sure you want to proceed (heeding the same warning as above about deleting user memory).
