Q:
K2000 resets when you use K250/K2000 sounds
A:
I now know definitively what the source of the K250 > K2000 Soft Resetting Bug is!
The process of getting the K250 Samples to K2000 Format (Diskmaker?) puts invisible characters at the end of a Sample's Name. I noticed that the "Root Key Indicator", (you know: -C4), that usually follows a Sample Name was pushed way over to the right with blank space in between. So: 200* Sax A#4-C4 After I corrected this on each and every Sample, I was unable to get the K2000 to crash. It was very annoying to have fixed some of the disks by hand copying *every* single parameter and then not know why it got fixed or even if it was truly fixed. I now feel very certain that it is fixed. These corrections, along with the Keymap anti-crashing corrections and K2500 compatibility, have been saved to new Master Floppies, tested and given to Service. _FIZBIN_ (Sent to Chuck and Dave)
