1. Go to control panel and select "multimedia"
2. Select "Advanced"
3. Select the type of media you want to choose from
4. Double click on a driver within the folder
5.A window appears that will let you:

a.use the midi features of this device
b. don't use the midi features of this device
c. remove the driver for this device

This feature is helpful when you want to selectively disable drivers in order to troubleshoot conflicts. You simply disable all the drivers except the ones you absolutely need, then re-enable them one by one until you find the conflict .
