All DA88 should be @ ver 3.10. Updating to this version is free.
Ver 4.01 is considered an UPGRADE.
Ver 4.01 is REQUIRED IF and ONLY IF you have a DA38 and a DA88 WITH an RC848 AND/OR an SY88.
Under the aforementioned condition the software is FREE and you must do EPROMS for all 3 (DA88, SY88, RC848). There is a deposit of $25.00 per chip and we burn them here. There is a labor charge if we install them.

If customer has purchased a DA88 with Ver4.01 we will upgrade his existing DA88(s) and auxiliary equipment gratis.

If customer just wants Ver4.01 for the new features it is supposed to have a price. No one knows the amount! I believe Tascam is in the "Don't ask; Don't tell" mode.
