When I first installed 128 meg in the 6804 the machine only was able to recognize 64 meg or 8 meg with 16 K. Here is the reason:

On page 7 of the manual " E-Synth 16MB ROM Board " with the 6804:

ROM BANK UTILITY

With the Sound ROM or Sound Flash RAM installed, the maximum Sound RAM that can be addressed is 64MB. This utility lets you temporarily disable the Sound ROM and Sound Flash RAM so that up to 128 of Sample RAM may be used.


> TO DISABLE the ROM Bank:

1. Press Master
2. Press Setup (F3)
3. Press Misc (F3)
4. Move the cursor to the Disable Sound Rom field (press
F4) and change it to Yes using the data entry control or
inc/dec keys.
5. A window appears telling you that you must re-boot for the change to take effect.
6. Press OK.
7. Press Master to return to the main screen.
