When "Drive Busy" error shows up on the display it means two things:

One: The song in question has files that are not being used and is cluttering the song information. To get rid of this the user must do a song optimization which will get rid of any files not being used anymore by that song in question.
On VS880 and VS880EX-
Song Mode: Then Optimize
On VS1680 and VS1880-
Shift and Song(F1)
OPTIM(F5)

Two:The hard drive is fragmented and can not buffer the commands properly. User should back up all material and perform a Drive Initialiize with Physical Format and Surface Scan ON.
On VS880 and VS880EX-
Hit System Button until Drive Initialize appears...hit the Yes button..Press Parameter Right button once to show Physical Format...turn dial to change to yes..Press Paramater Right button twice to get to Surface Scan and turn dial to change to yes. Press "YES" button twice to activate Initialize.
On VS1680 and VS1880-
Hold Shift and F6-Press the PAGE button ....Select DRINI(F4)..move cursor to Physical Format and turn dial to change to Yes...Move Cursor to Surface Scan and turn dial to change to Yes..Hit Exec
