Glossary : RCA
A:
RCA - Most commonly refer to RCA "phono" jacks. These are 2 conductor unbalanced audio connectors and are commonly used on stereo equipment, for example the connectors on home cassette decks are usually RCA.
This connection type is also used for SPDIF connections (see Glossary "Spdif")
