SPDIF - Sony/Phillips Digital interface : A standard for interconnecting stereo digital audio devices, similar to the Audio Engineering Society/European Broadcast Union (AES/EBU) but uses RCA coaxial type connectors. The specification is referred to as IEC 958 Type 11
