Q. What are the different Modes available on the P-200?
The P-200 has three different modes to choose from. Single mode allows you to select and play a voice across the entire keyboard. Dual mode allows you to a blend two voices simultaneously across the keyboard. Split mode is used when you would like to play one voice on the left side of the keyboard, and a different voice on the right side of the keyboard. Q. How do I Select a Voice In Single Mode? 1. Press the [VOICE] button.The LED above the [VOICE] button will blink. 2. Press one of the twelve [VOICE SELECT] buttons. Q. How do I Select a Performance? 1. Press the [PERF.A] or [PERF.B] button to enter Performance mode. 2. Press one of the twelve [PERFORMANCE SELECT] buttons. Q. How do I Change [PIANO 1] or [PIANO 2] to Stereo or Mono? 1. Press the [VOICE] button to enter Single mode. 2. Press and hold the [PIANO 1] or [PIANO 2] button for a few moments until you see “mono” in the display. Mono mode uses only 32 voices of polyphony, wile Stereo mode uses 64 voices of polyphony. (Polyphony in the maximum number of notes that can be played simultaneously.) 3. To return to Stereo mode press and hold the [PIANO 1] or [PIANO 2] button for a few moments until you see “stereo” in the display. Q. How do I Change the the Upright Bass Voice to Electric Bass? 1. Press and hold the [BASS] button until you see “Elec. bass” appear on the display. 2. To change it back to Upright bass, press and hold the [BASS] button again until you see “Upright. bass” appear on the display. Q. How do I Select a Reverb Type and Reverb Depth? 1. Press the [REVERB] button. 2. To select a different type of reverb press the [REVERB] button repeatedly to select Room, Stage, Hall, or Off. 3. To select the depth of the reverb, hold down the [REVERB] button and move the [DATA ENTRY] slider or press the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] buttons. 4. Once you have set the Reverb depth release the [REVERB] button. Q. How do I Select a Modulation Effect Type and Speed? 1. Press the [MODULATION] button. 2. To select a different type of Modulation effect press the [MODULATION] button repeatedly to select Chorus, Symphonic, Tremolo, or Off. 3. To select the speed of the effect, hold down the [MODULATION] button and move the [DATA ENTRY] slider or press the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] buttons. 4. Once you have set the effect speed release the [MODULATION] button. Q. How do I select Voices in Dual Mode? 1. Press and hold one of the twelve [VOICE SELECT] buttons. This will be the Main voice. 2. While still holding the first button, press another [VOICE SELECT] button. This will be your Sub voice. 3. To adjust the balance between the two voices hold the [BALANCE] button and move the [DATA ENTRY] slider. 4. You can detune the voices by pressing and holding the [DETUNE] button and moving the [DATA ENTRY] slider. Q. How do I Create a Split in Split Mode? 1. Press the [SPLIT] button to enter Split mode. 2. Press one of the twelve [VOICE SELECT] buttons to select the Main voice. 3. Hold down the [SPLIT] button and press one of the twelve [VOICE SELECT] buttons to select the Sub voice. 4. To adjust the balance between the two voices hold the [BALANCE] button and move the [DATA ENTRY] slider. 5. To change the split point hold down the [SPLIT] button and press a key on the keyboard. Q. How do I use the Transpose Feature? 1. Press and hold the [TRANSPOSE] button. 2. Press a key on the keyboard. The key you press becomes the new transpose amount. 3. To transpose a voice in split mode, Press and hold the [TRANSPOSE] button, then hold the [SPLIT] button, now press a key on the keyboard. Q. How do I Set the Keyboard Sensitivity? 1. Press the [EDIT] button. 2. Press the [KBD SENS] button. 3. Press the [<] or [>] button until you see “KBD SENS. INT.” in the display 4. Press the [EDIT] button, you will be asked if you would like to store your settings. 5. Press the [+1/YES] button. Q. How do I Reset my P-200 to it’s Factory Preset condition? 1. Turn off the P-200. 2. Hold down the [MIDI] and [EDIT] buttons. 3. Press the [POWER] switch to turn on the P-200. “INITIALIZE ALL” will appear briefly in the display.
