Any VS-recorder can import files from older "lower-number" models, but NOT from newer "hihger-number" models.

For example:
- A VS1680HD can import files from VS880EX, VS890HD, etc. However, it cannot import files from a VS1880HD or VS2480HD.

- A VS2480HD can import files from the VS1880HD, VS1680HD, VS890HD, etc....

- A VS890 can import from the VS880, but not from the VS1680HD, VS1880HD, or VS2480HD
