Q:
What is the resampling function and why it is useful?
A:
You can resample a complete sequence, with effects, as an audio sample. What you hear at the outputs, is what you'll record as a sample.
It is useful for increasing polyphony and also to free up effects (especially the insert fx) for other voices. Also handy for little licks/riffs etc if you don't want to record them note for note into the sequencer. Say you make a splendid bass drum sound, made of 4 elements, and using the insert and other fx, you use four notes of polyphony and tie up the FX. Resample it and use one note and no FX.
