Q:
What are the "256" outputs on the AardSync II for, what is "256"?
A:
The "256" output on the AardSync II is for Digidesign SuperClock. SuperClock is a proprietary clocking format used to clock Digidesign Pro Tools, which operates at an internal timing resolution of 256x the sample rate. The AardSync II can be configured to output SuperClock on two of its BNC clock outputs.
