Q:
Is there a simplfied procedure for installation of the PCR- 1
A:
Before you install the PCR-1 you must check to see if the OS is above 3.0 and the Boot Block is above 2.0. If the OS is lower than 3.0 you must also update the soundware to 3.0. All these files are on the CDROM that come with the the PCR-1. They are MIDI files and you will need some kind of sequencer to play them into the keyboard. If unit does not have the requirements the new sounds will not be accessible. There is a very good Procedure is the installation manual.
abridged procedure: 1. Check OS for 3.0 & Check Boot Block for 2.0. 2. update what ever needs to be updated via any MIDI sequencer. 3. install ROM 4. Decide if you want Orchestral set or GM set. 5. Load Orch. set or GM set via MIDI sequencer. 6. Hard Reset the unit.

Can I use the digital routing/bouncing feature in an ADAT system that includes an O2R or other digital mixer? I have a Mackie digital mixer hooked up via MIDI to the BRC. I installed ADAT/Edit in my PC then I installed MicroLogic AV from the new Alesis Synth CD-ROM. Now when I record directly into ADAT/Edit from my ADAT, my tracks don't play in sync with the original ADAT tracks. What's wrong? My Quicksilver G4 freezes when quitting applications. I have to restart with all SCSI devices off in order to get the G4 to start up properly. MAC: Shared Lib "Digidesign Direct I/O" Not found |
