Q:
When the Mac boots up a message appears:
"Software needed for the USB device 'Mbox USB audio Device copyright Digidesign 2001' is not available.
Would you like to look for the software on the Internet?"
A:
Just click "Cancel" when asked if you would like to search for software on the Internet. This dialogue is not correct. The USB drivers installed are fine.
Please note: There is nothing built into the Pro Tools application that will allow you to find any Digidesign software on the Internet. This is a Mac OS message and does not cause any problems in Pro Tools. Usually, the Mbox USB light will not come on when getting this error message. Just unplug and replug (hot swap) the USB cable on the Mbox to make the USB light come on.
