Q:
When I launch Digital Performer, I get a message, "The application "DP 3" could not be opened because 'MOTU Public Objects' could not be found."
A:
This problem can normally be fixed by reinstalling the MOTU Audio System. To effectively reinstall MAS, first remove the MOTU folder located in:
Macintosh HD > System Folder > Extensions > * If you have third party plugins, you can save time and trouble by pulling them out of the Plugins folder inside the MOTU folder, and dropping them on the desktop BEFORE trashing the MOTU folder. Then you can simply drop those plugins back into the same place after reinstall. After trashing the MOTU folder, restart the computer. Then perform a custom-install of MAS from your DP3 installer CD, or download a MAS from motu.com
