Q:
What kind of RAM does the the E6400 use?
A:
The E6400 Uses 72 pin SIMM4Q, SIMM16Q or SIMM64E - 8 or 9 bit, 70ns or faster. 2 SIMM sockets total (one socket filled with SIMM4Q from factory). Expandable to 128Mb via (2) SIMM64E. SIMMs are installed individually. Possible configurations and how to get there:
4Mb = (1) Simm4Q (stock machine from Emu) 8Mb = (2) Simm4Q 16Mb = (1) SIMM16Q 18Mb = (1) Simm4Q and (1) SIMM16Q (this is not a typo) 32Mb = (2) SIMM16Q 64Mb = (1) Simm64E 72Mb = (1) Simm64E and (1) SIMM16Q (this is not a typo) 128Mb = (2) Simm64E
