Q:
How to Select Items to Batch Export

A:
You can export clips and sequences. To export part of a clip or sequence, set In and Out points. For more information, see Setting and modifying In and Out points.

To select items to batch export:

1. In the Browser, select the items you want to export.
For more information, see Selecting items in the Browser.
2. Choose Batch Export from the File menu.
The Export Queue window shows the Export Queue tab with the selected items. A bin named "Batch X" is automatically created with your selections, where X is the bin's number.
3. To change the name of a bin, click the bin's name until a text box appears, then type a new name.
4. To create a new bin, do one of the following:

* Choose New from the File menu, then choose Bin from the submenu.
* Press Control-B, then choose New Bin from the shortcut menu.
* Press Command-B.
Since each bin has its own export settings, you may want to reorganize items into different bins to keep items with the same settings in the same bin.
1. To add additional items:
* Drag items from the Browser to a bin in the Batch Export window.
* Select additional items, then choose Batch Export again.
To select batch export settings, see Selecting batch export settings.

If you don't want to select settings now, you can close the Export Queue window. To select export settings later, choose Export Queue from the Window menu. However, make sure you export these items before you quit Final Cut Pro. If you don't, all items will be deleted from the Export Queue window and you'll have to select them again.
