Playback of both ADAT and Pro Tools stops one second after the insertion point either during playback or record.

Try reseating the 9 pin sync cable which connects the Sync Out of the ADAT to the Sync In of the ADAT Interface. Pro Tools can run without the Sync In cable connected to the ADAT. However, the two will never sync properly.
