Might indicate a directory problem. Run Disk First Aid or Norton Disk Doctor to analyze the drive for problems. If a directory problem is found, it is best to back up the files, format the drive, and restore the files. Fixing the problems with Disk Doctor or Disk First Aid is not always reliable.
