Bounce to disk in Pro Tools project creates tapping fingers and locks up machine.Sometimes a file will get created that contains a small amount of audio (the audio that was in the buffer) that is continuously looped.

This is caused by the disk cache setting in the memory control panel being set too high. Set the disk cache setting in the memory control panel to 256k and restart the Mac.
