Q:
"The bar|beat marker could not be created because it is too close ot too far away from the nearest bar|beat marker to support a valid tempo" when using Identify Beat command.
 
A:
Invalid tempo request. Valid tempos are from 30 to 300 bpm in Pro Tools 5.0.When using Identify Beat to select a beat marker, entering an End value that is too close to the Start value can cause this error because it will ask PT to slow tempo down below 30bpm. Also entering in an End value too far away from the Start value will cause this error, requesting PT to speed tempo up beyond 300 bpm.
