Q:
Why do I get the error "Could not find OT UTILITY LIB" when launching Pro Tools?
A:
Create a base extension set. From the selected set pop-up menu, select "OS 8.x base"click on "duplicate set at the bottom of the window and name the set "Digidesign."Scroll down and enable the DigiSystem INIT. If you are using MIDI (and have OMS installed), enable the Open Music System Extension and restart. In addition, make sure that all of the Open Transport extensions are installed and enabled. The following Open Transport extensions I have on my system running Mac OS 8.6 are the following:Open Tpt AppleTalk LibraryOpen Tpt Internet LibraryOpen Transport LibraryOpenTpt ModemOpenTpt Remote AccessOpenTpt Serial ArbitratorOpenTptAppleTalkLibOpenTptInternetLibOpenTransportLib
