While bouncing in Pro Tools, HUI's F8 key does not allow the operation to be canceled as stated in the "Dialog onscreen...." message in the VFD.
 
A:
This is a known problem in Pro Tools 5.0.1 for Macintosh.

• When using the modem port for HUI connection, HUI drops offline whenever a SampleCell Instrument is set to anything but channel 1 and "Pass MIDI to Instrument's selected control port" is selected in the SampleCell Editor Preferences.
