Q:
Pro Tools could not lock to external time code error when trying to record video in AV Option or AV Option XL.
 
A:
This can happen if Continuous Scroll With Playhead is enabled while the video track is in frames view. Workarounds are switching to another scrolling option or putting the video track into block view.
