Where is the firmware located for the ProControl? Do I need to rev the unit's firmware?
 
A:
The factory default firmware can be reloaded through the Utility menu on the ProControl. When Pro Tools is launched it checks the current version of ProControl firmware. If the current ProControl firmware is older than the version that Pro Tools has access to it will update the ProControl's firmware.

• There is a 6db drop on the Main L/R outputs while in surround monitor mode. When switching the ProControl to stereo monitor mode the level goes back up to +4 (unity) The level on the Surround L/R and center/lfe channels stay at unity in both surround and stereo monitor modes.
