Q:
When I try to record one or more Tracks in Pro Tools, I get hard disk to slow errors. After I click OK on the error message it kicks me out of record.

This will happen if you haven't enabled DMA mode on all of your audio drives.To enable DMA mode in Windows 98 SE:1. Select the Windows "Start" button -> "Settings" -> "Control Panel"2. In the Control Panel folder double-click the "System" control panel.3. Select the "Device Manager" tab4. Under the "hard drives" branch, select the IDE drive(s) you are using.5. Click on "Properties"6. On the "Settings" Tab of the disk's properties dialog, make sure the "DMA" option is enabled.7. Click "OK"8. Close the "System" control panel and the Control Panel folder by clicking on the Close button9. Windows will prompt you to restart your computer.10. Repeat for all drives present in your computer
