File Conversion and Audio Suite processes on Pro Tools Windows (NT and 98) do not write a time stamp to the new file. Also potentially applies to AIFF files on the Mac.
A:
Pro Tools 5.0 and 5.0.1 were prone to this. Fixed in 5.1.

Consolidate Selection doesn't write muted MIDI regions as silence. Attempting to create a Fade Out or Fade In where 2 regions are butted together instead creates a Crossfade between the 2 regions. After previewing an AudioSuite plug-in, the beginning of the selection is cut off on subsequent plays. If Pro Tools LE (Win 98) is idle for several minutes or more, subsequent playback cuts off the beginning of the session. Pro Tools changes note durations when importing/exporting Standard MIDI Files. |
