Q:
With a large MIDI setup in OMS, sessions take a very long time to load in Pro Tools 5.1.
A:
Pro Tools 5.1 is prone to this. Every time a virtual node was created while the session loads, Pro Tools 5.1 updates all of its internal OMS information. This has been fixed in 5.1cs2 to only update the OMS information at the end of the loading process.
