Q:
How do I paste sound names in to OMS names?
A:
To enter your own list of customized names please choose Setups>OMS Names and double-click the Patch Name Document for the desired OMS Device. If there is no document present double-click the empty space. A new window opens that allows you to edit or enter new names, and a new Patches menu appears in the menu bar. If you are using a third party librarian software or if you have a list of patch names in your word processor, you can quickly copy and paste these names into this window. To copy names from another application into OMS Names: 1. Please make sure that the names in the list are separated by a carriage-return (Return key). Select the desired names and select Copy in your word processor or librarian software.2. If you haven't done so already, please launch Pro Tools and open a session. Select Setups>OMS Names and double-click the Patch Name Document or the empty area for the desired device.3. You should now see the Patches menu. Choose Paste Patch Names from the Patches menu to paste your patch names into the list.4. Hit OK to confirm the changes. 5. A dialog will come up asking you to save changes. Hit Save. In the file dialog navigate to System Folder/OMS Folder/Factory Presets and save your list of patch names. 6. Hit OK in the OMS Names dialog. You should now see patch names instead of numbers for your device.
