Q:
System locks up when configuring a KeySpan USB to serial adapter with Pro Tools 5.1 when one port on the USB is setup for Machine Control out and the other port is set for Pro Tools to be controlled remotely via machine control. Also, if Pro Tools is relaunched afterwards Machine Control will take a very long time to initialize.
A:
At this point the Pro Tools prefs have to be trashed in order to set up Machine Control correctly. It is not possible to have Pro Tools configured for both Machine Control out and Remote mode for Pro Tools on the same KeySpan USB to serial adapter.
