Q:
DAE Error -1 when trying to instantiate a Focusrite d3 plug-in in Pro Tools TDM v. 5.1. Also may get the message that "Certain plug-ins have been deactivated due to lack of system resources"
A:
This can occur if the Focusrite d3 plug-in v.1.3.1 is used with Pro Tools 5.1. Installing version Focusrite d3 v 1.4 will correct the problem. This version mismatch will occur if you install Pro Tools 5.1, then install the Q1 2001 mix pack. If you run the PT 5.1 installer again with just the Plug-Ins Update checked, then the correct version will be installed.
