Q:
Any attempt to update the ATTO firmware from the CTRL-Z menu results in continuous beep and computer lock-up.

A:
This occurs with certain PC motherboards. Fortunately, there is an easy work around. Create a bootable MSDOS floppy disk and extract the latest firmware (such as epci163.exe) to the floppy. The DOS version of the configuration program is in the a:\dos\utility folder. It is called either fcconfig.exe or config.exe, depending on whether you have a Fibre Channel, or SCSI adapter.
