When editing volume automation in the playlist (Edit Window, using Volume view), volume changes take several seconds to become audible, whereas moving the fader in the Mix Window renders the changes automatically.
A:
This is normal operation. When using editing tools (ie Trimming) in playlist data, the entire playlist is "rebuilt" after performing the move, thus, the noted lag occurs.Using a fader to change volume is directly sent to the output mixer gain, thus, real-time volume changes are heard.
