One of my hard drives will show up on the Desktop multiple times.
A:
-This can happen if the drive is set to the same ID (usually ID# 7)as your SCSI HBA (controller) card.-When installing a drive in an enclosure, the connectors that attach to an external SCSI ID changer (the little things that you push in to change the ID) can be attached incorrectly. If you use a utility to display all of the available drives and their SCSI IDs, you'll see the drive show up at all of the addresses.
