Pro Tools XL is digitizing video (no audio tracks present) when suddenly the activity light of the record drive turns off. Pro Tools continues to act like it is recording, but the drive does not do anything. When Pro Tools is stopped, the video track shows digitization only up to the point where the drive activity had stopped.
 
A:
Plug black burst into the input on the consumer video deck. That will usually lock consumer VCR clocks to video black. These drop outs are usually caused by bad or out of sync video signal.
