Type 10 errors when trying to record to or access an Avid Unity work space running Pro Tools 5.1U.

This was found to be caused by a version of the Mac OS ROM which gets installed with the OS. There are at least two versions of the OS 9.1 install disks, version 1.2 and 1.3. Version 1.3 installs Mac OS ROM version 7.9.1. 7.9.1 causes the Type 10 errors in Pro Tools 5.1U. Initializing the drive and installing OS 9.1 from the 1.2 installer disk resolves this issue. The 1.2 installer has Mac OS ROM 7.5.1 and works fine with Pro Tools 5.1U.
