Pro Audio Support

Q:
Why is my audio playing back slow? It seems to happen after I import audio from my DAT.

A:
This problem is caused by the Sync Mode and Sample Rate settings in Sound Designer II's Hardware Setup. After digitally transfering audio from a DAT, you should set the Sync Mode in HardwareSetup back to Internal. This way the software will reference a sample rate clock either on the card or the peripheral attached to the audio card. If SD II's Sync Mode set to "digital" in the Hardware Setup and no clock source connected to the digital input, or the device is turned off, Sound Designer will play back extremely slow or not at all. If the file plays back about 10% slow or fast after switching from digital to internal sync, the sample rate selected in the Hardware Setup window did not match the sample rate of the digital source.
