Q:
Exporting an OMFi composition from an Avid Media Composer to a Pro Tools client on a Unity network.
A:
Before exporting a sequence as an OMFi file to Pro Tools, make sure all effects and transitions are rendered. Then export the video sequence as an OMF2 composition that refers to the existing media files. On the Pro Tools client, use DigiTranslator to convert the OMF2 file into a Pro Tools session file that refers to the original media files. Open the newly created Pro Tools session and begin working. The Pro Tools client will be able to share the media files with the Avid Media Composer as long as the video resolution is 2:1 or lower. 1:1 video can not be shared between two clients at the same time.

However, When I use any plug-in, the display for that region simply disappears from the screen. the session still plays fine, so it's still there, but I sure would like to see it.
