Q:
My system crashes when processing a short file with Audiosuite Gain or other AudioSuite plug-in.
 
A:
This has been seen intermittently on Avid Unity systems with Pro Tools 5.1u. The workaround is to use local drives for AudioSuite processing. This should be fixed in a later version of Unity.
