Q:
"This file is unreadable by Pro Tools" error when attempting to import an audio file into Pro Tools.
A:
This message will be posted if Pro Tools doesn't recognize or support the file in question. This has also been seen with larger sessions (high track count/and or longer in length) where Pro Tools doesn't have enough memory allocated. Assuming the system has enough RAM installed, quit Pro Tools, select the Pro Tools application in the Digidesign > Pro Tools folder, and go to File > Get Info. Switch General Information to Memory and increase the preferred size. Always leave the minimum size at its default setting.
