System audio latency performance is slow when using a software synth (ie. Reaktor from Native Instruments) running through the Digidesign hardware with Windows XP.

This is a design limitation of the WaveDriver v. 5.3.1. The best alternative with real-time soft-synths is to use a separate sound card that uses DirectSound or WDM drivers.
